Hybrid Bass concept
The first Upright Bass with a MIDI extension was the ZETA Bass with a Synthony MIDI module. In combination with the MultiVoicer MIDI software this creates Chords / Sounds per String. See Example 2 Sound Demo’s. After some years of playing the ZETA Quirijn Altena develops a traditional Double Bass with the same possibilities at the Royal Conservatory the Hague. This instrument is more expressive than the ZETA instrument for a Double Bass player.
